Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Sage. By accessing our website, making a reservation, or dining at our establishment, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. Reservations and Cancellations

Reservations: We recommend making a reservation, especially for dinner and on weekends. You can make a reservation through our website, by phone, or in person. All reservations are subject to availability.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. For no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £10 per person. This policy helps us manage our seating and accommodate all of our guests.

2. Dress Code

Sage maintains a smart-casual dress code. We kindly request that you refrain from wearing athletic wear, tank tops, or flip-flops. We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who is not dressed in accordance with our policy.

3. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Responsibility: We make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. However, our kitchen handles a wide variety of ingredients, including nuts, dairy, gluten, and shellfish.

Notification: It is your responsibility to inform your server of any allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee that any dish will be 100% free of allergens.

4. Liability

Sage is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property while you are on our premises. We are also not liable for any injuries that occur due to your failure to follow safety instructions or due to your own negligence.

5. Gift Cards

Non-refundable: All gift card purchases are final and non-refundable.

Expiration: Gift cards do not have an expiration date and can be redeemed for any goods or services at our restaurant, unless otherwise stated.

Lost or Stolen: Sage is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Please treat them like cash.

6. Pricing and Payment

Pricing: All prices listed on our menus are in pound sterling and are subject to change without notice.

Service Charge: A 20% service charge will be added to parties of 6 or more.

Payment Methods: We accept all major credit cards, as well as contactless payment methods. We do not accept personal checks.

7. Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected, such as your name, phone number, and email for reservations, is used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties.

8. Amendments to Terms

Sage reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. T&Cs for Sage Restaurant – Opening Weekend 50% Off Food Promotion.

This promotion entitles diners to 50% off food only at Sage restaurant during our opening weekend from Friday 10th October to Sunday 12th October 2025. Offer applies only during the following service times: Friday 10th October, 6pm – 9pm, Saturday 11th October, 10am -3pm (brunch), Sunday 12th October, 12pm – 4pm (lunch). Discount applies to food items from the main restaurant menu only. Drinks are excluded. The discount will be applied automatically to the food bill during the promotional times. Advance booking is required via our website www.sagechester.co.uk where we ask you to include ‘Email Offer’ in the comments or you can book by phone on 01244 729853. Offer is subject to availability. Once tables are fully booked, the promotion will no longer be available. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, or promotion. Management reserves the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time, in the event of reasonable circumstances beyond our control.
